It’s that time again! The 2017 Packraft Roundup is slated for July 5-8th in Swan Valley, Idaho at Falls Campground in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. This awesome event is a great way to network with other packrafters, hear about access and conservation issues, learn new tips and tricks, help with service projects and of course go packrafting in and around the Northern Rockies.
The time window for the Roundup is ideal for this part of the northern Rockies because the rivers are past their peak CFS, but still have plenty of water even in the lower sections.
The Roundup will provide a great jumping off point for personal trips afterwards. Waterways such as South Fork of the Snake, Snake River Canyon, Salt River, McCoy Creek, Bear Creek, Palisades Creek, Pine Creek, Falls River, Henry’s Fork, Teton River, Bitch Creek, and Robinson Creek offer a wide variety of adventurous packrafting for all ability levels.
